Self-Storage Area Property Manager
Chris Brown has been with Professional Equities Inc. since 2013 and brings over a decade of experience in self-storage operations and area-level property management. In his role as Self-Storage Area Property Manager, Chris oversees daily facility operations with a focus on occupancy performance, property standards, security, and regulatory compliance.

Chris works closely with on-site teams and customers to ensure efficient unit utilization, clear communication of storage policies, and a high level of customer service. He is experienced in guiding customers on unit selection, proper storage practices, insurance requirements, and prohibited items, helping protect both tenant property and facility assets. His responsibilities also include delinquency management, lien compliance, and oversight of abandoned unit and auction processes in accordance with state and company guidelines.

Known for his consistency, attention to detail, and operational discipline, Chris plays a key role in maintaining clean, secure, and well-managed self-storage facilities throughout his assigned portfolio.

Robert Rives

Chairman & President
Robert Rives founded Professional Equities, Inc. (PEI) in 1969 and is the current chairman and president. His knowledge of the economic underpinnings of multi-family, office and mini-warehouse storage properties plus his decades of experience in real estate management enables PEI to accept multiple on-site engagements and quickly identify the action steps required to bring an asset to market competitiveness.

Rives is a founding member of the Economical Housing Organization, a non-profit group that provides housing for large and/or economically disadvantaged families. He is also a director of Rainbow Village which provides housing and employment opportunity for those with developmental disabilities.

A member of the Home Builders Association of St. Louis, Rives is a licensed real estate broker in Missouri.

He holds a bachelor’s degree from Southeast Missouri State University.
